Newborn photography

Here’s the follow up newborn photography to the maternity session that I did with this couple for my little promotional video. I was really happy with their photographs from the maternity session and was really looking forward to doing some beautiful newborn photography to complete the set. This mom loved the combination of white and aqua, we had used it for the maternity photography and had planned on using it for the newborn images as well. For a little drama we went with the black background for the family portraits but we could have easily done them on a clean, bright white background as well if the mom had wanted to go with that look. We had discussed what props we were planning on using and what colored blankets we would be using for the images of the baby on his own ahead of time, but there’s always a little wiggle room if anyone changes their mind once they get to the studio.
